The fun to drive compact German hatchback came back to the North American market in 2010 to exchange the Rabbit, a reputation that was revived in North America back in 2006 for the then new MkV hatchback version of the Jetta.
The MkVI Golf is offered in 2-door and 4-door bodystyles and will be powered by either a 170-hp two.5-liter inline 5-cylinder gas engine, or a brand new a hundred and forty-hp two.zero-liter TDI clean-diesel engine. Patrons that keep company with the gas engine will opt for between either a 5-speed manual transmission or six-speed Tiptronic automatic; while TDI patrons choose from either a six-speed manual transmission, or a six-speed DSG auto with Tiptronic. Normal safety options on all models embody, anti-lock brakes, stability and traction control, tire pressure monitoring and six airbags.
