The MX-5 Miata is Mazda's sleek convertible sports automobile for those that appreciate high performance mixed with a little well-built fun.
The MX-5 Miata roadster comes in two basic configurations: a soft-high or an influence retractable hardtop. Three transmissions are offered, a five-speed manual, a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. The solely engine on the market, a 2.0-liter, inline four-cylinder, comes in 2 power levels, one rated at 167 horsepower with either manual transmission, or 158 horsepower with the automatic. Standard safety equipment across the line contains dual front airbags with passenger deactivation switch, side impact airbags, stability and traction management, tire pressure monitoring and anti-lock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution.
For 2013, the Touring trim is replaced by the Club trim on both the softtop and hardtop models. The new trim includes 17" gunmetal alloy wheels, black exterior options and a suspension package. All trims benefit from a new front fascia style.
