The Mazda MX-five Miata, could be a convertible sports car that's sleek, capable, well-built, delightful, and fun.

The MX-five Miata roadster comes in 2 basic configurations: a soft-prime or an influence retractable hardtop. Three transmissions are offered, a 5-speed manual, a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. The only engine out there, a 2.zero-liter, inline four-cylinder, comes in two power levels, one rated at 167 horsepower with either manual transmission, or 158 horsepower with the automated. Standard safety equipment across the road comprises dual front airbags with passenger deactivation switch, side impact airbags, stability and traction control, tire pressure monitoring and anti-lock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution.

For 2012, stability and traction management have been added as normal equipment on all models.
